The Qubit 4 fluorometer utilizes selectively-binding dyes to accurately measure low concentrations of RNA, DNA and protein. The instrument is simple to use and takes only minutes to run. Readings can be obtained with as little as 0.5 ng of RNA or 0.1 ng of DNA, depending on the assay used.
Further information on the Qubit 4 may be found at the supplier’s website.
The Qubit is now available as part of the BioGarage membership.
Users must provide their own reagents and consumables. Please run your samples using Qubit assay tubes (Thermo Fisher catalog # Q32856) or other clear 0.5 mL tubes. Qubit data may be saved to your flash drive*.
*Invitrogen tech support does report compatibility issues with some flash drives larger than 2 GB.
The Qubit is free to BioGarage members.
If desired, training is available for $50. Training typically takes 15-30 minutes. Please contact us at biogarage@biotech.wisc.edu if you would like to schedule a training.
